Ideas For Using Fall Leaf Letter Puzzles

There are so many fun ways you can use these letter puzzle cards.

Shuffle the cards and place them face down. Have your kids flip over two cards to find matches between upper and lower case letters. If a player makes a match, they keep the pair. The player with the most pairs at the end of the game wins.

Alphabet Hunt:

Hide the cards around your house or yard and have your kids search for them. Once they find all the cards, they can match the uppercase and lowercase letters.

Upper and Lower Case Sort:

Mix all the cards and have your children sort them into two piles: upper case and lower case.

Alphabet Order:

Have your children organize the uppercase cards alphabetically, then find and match each lowercase card with its uppercase counterpart.

Letter Sound Association:

As your child picks up a card, encourage them to say the sound that the letter makes. Then, have them name a word that begins with that letter sound.

Incorporate Writing Practice:

Have kids match the cards and then write the letters.
