Free Printable Ladybug Number Matching 1-10 Activity
These fun ladybug number matching printables are so cute! If your looking for a fun activity for your preschooler to practice their counting skills then this free printable is perfect.
Ladybugs are always popular with young kids and that includes mine.
So I created this cute ladybug number matching activity to help my preschooler practice counting from 1-10 and writing her numbers.
Ladybug Number Matching Activity
Included in this printable set are 10 ladybug worksheets one for each number from 1 to 10.
Each page has a place for your kids to trace over the number. Then they need to find the same numbers on the back of the cute ladybug and cover them up with the matching dot coins.
With this fun printable kids will practice counting up to ten, writing the number over and over again if you laminate the cards before use.
How To Make The Number Matching Activity
Supplies Needed:
Ladybug number matching PDF (download at the end)
Paper or cardstock
Laminating pouches (optional)
Laminator (optional)
Scissors or a circle hole punch.
Print out the ladybug number matching pages and the 2 pages of number spots.
Then cut apart the number spots (I use scissors but a small circle hole punch will work too) and place them into a laminating pouch.
To keep them from sliding around you can put a little dot of glue on the back, a glue stick works great!
Laminate both the number spots and the ladybug pages.
Cut the number spots out and your kids are ready to play!
Note: If you don't want to laminate this printable that's totally fine. In that case, I would recommend printing them onto card stock. It won't last as long as if you laminated it though. Little hands can be quite hard on paper!
How To Use The Ladybug Number Matching Activity
This easy activity is so much fun my daughter just loves "playing" with it all the time!
To use the ladybug number matching activity have your child read the number in the box.
Then they can trace over it with a dry-erase marker if you laminated the page.
Next, they can use the number spot coins to cover up the matching numbers on the ladybugs back.
Another fun option is to use plastic counters, or playdough to cover the ladybug's spots.
The combinations of activities help kids to practice recognizing numbers, saying numbers, writing numbers from 1-10 and fine motor skills.
File Usage
Like all printables, I make these are for personal and single-classroom use. Feel free to print and use for home use, your classroom, co-op or library group, etc.
Digital reselling, distribution or reshaping is not allowed.
