Materials Needed

To get started you just need some simple materials.

  • Printer paper or cardstock: Use high-quality printer paper or cardstock to ensure durability and easy handling. If you are not laminating then I recommend you use cardstock. It will hold up much better to use.

  • Laminator and laminator pouches (optional): If you'd like the cards to be more durable and reusable, consider laminating them.

  • Paper trimmer or scissors: Use your favourite scissors or paper trimmer to separate the cards.

  • Clothespins or manipulative: Gather clothespins or small objects like pompoms, or small erasers for children to use when marking the correct number on each card. Remember to use only child-safe objects and supervise young children.

  • Storage container (optional): A small box or plastic container can be useful for keeping the cards and marking objects organized.

How to Use Easter Egg Counting Clip Cards

Clip cards make a fun and quick-to-prepare activity. With just a few steps you’ll have a cute math activity to use all through the Easter season.

Print the Easter egg cards: Download and print the set of Easter Egg Counting Clip Cards from the link provided in this blog post. Use high-quality printer paper or cardstock for durability and easier handling.

Protect your cards (optional): If desired, use a laminator and laminator pouches to make the cards more durable and reusable. Do this before you cut apart the cards so you don’t have to cut them twice. Unless your laminator instructions tell you otherwise.

Cut the cards: Carefully cut out each individual card using a paper trimmer or scissors.

Gather marking tools: Find clothespins or small objects, such as pompoms or small erasers, for your child to mark the correct number on each card.

Introduce the activity: Sit down with your little one and explain that they'll be counting Easter eggs and marking the correct number on each card, making it a fun and engaging experience.
